"In the midst of what some open-minded people might say was a modestly sucessful if self-restrained career in the public service, John L decided to "quit his day job" as it were and work toward the release of a CD of his songs - something he had been thinking about 'lo these many years. As a young musician, song writing seemed to evolve naturally with John L and was spurred on by his attendance at concerts of Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Gordon Lightfoot, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and others.

John L has, in fact, been at the edges of the formal/mainstream music industry for some time - dashing off songs and demos to publishers and record companies in the hopes of being "discovered". Now, however, with the advent of the independant music industry and the almost explosive growth of the indie-produced CD industry, it seems the perfect time for John L to release his debut CD, Troubadouring. We hope you enjoy it."
